Thank you for the comments and thoughtful review. I would have hoped you liked our products a bit more but I appreciate the feedback and it certainly makes me think about some alternative designs that could take some of this into account. Critics make us better and we need the feedback good, bad or indifferent. So thanks for your time!

Thanks for the review, Kent. I’ve ordered a few times from Kringle over the last year and my experience has been hit and miss (in terms of strength and throw). However, I can burn those candles for HOURS with ZERO soot or wick issues. Like any company, speed bumps are inevitable, but Kringle is on the right path. Sure, they have some work to do, but so does every single company on this planet. I find Mick’s style very endearing in a business world filled with arrogance, lack of transparency, and excuses. He’s the ultimate antithesis of Harry Slatkin; Mick is open to feedback, gracious, transparent, directly engages with his customer base (unscripted), and doesn’t seem to have an arrogant bone in his body. It takes a lot of courage to open yourself up to criticism, as Mick willingly does. Harry Slatkin and no member of the BBW senior executive team would ever dare demonstrate that kind of courage. Kringle isn’t perfect, but I personally believe they are well positioned for the future.

Hi Kent - appreciate you checking out Kringle! Like other companies, there are hits and misses but they have made some great improvements and I’m really enjoying the brand. The latest three wick jars are outstanding - including Donut Worry! I agree that Mick listens to us and strives to do better when needed unlike a certain someone who is in denial over there at H*******. Kringle definitely has some of my favorites that I can’t be without. I hope you’ll try the painted jars - 3 wicks!
Mick - love your candles but have to agree with Kent that the website needs some work. Sometimes wrong scent notes are listed and I’ve had trouble getting sales to calculate correctly. That said, I’ll wrangle through because some of your scents are amazing. And you know Halloween is everything!

Kent, I'm thrilled to see you reviewing Kringle, and I will use your code so thank you for that. Like you, I have had hits (see below) and misses (the nasty Fruit & Flakes) with scent quality and throw, but I'm absolutely thrilled with the sootless performance of the soy formula. I'm hanging in there with them partly because of that and partly because of the passion and engagement of Mick Kittredge.
I have enjoyed some beautiful fragrances in the soy - Snow-Capped Fraser (so gorgeous), Juniper and Laurel, Rosemary Lemon (the best anywhere), Iced Citrus, Lava Cake, Marshmallow Morning, Pumpkin Cheesecake (light, but scrumptious).
I wish they had sent you some of these.
At any rate, I hope you will continue to review these, because I can get behind Mick, who seems to have integrity, and that impeccable soy burn. My dream would be that they would hire you to do their graphics, so fingers crossed.
Thank you my friend as always for brightening my day, and take care. ❤️🤗

100% agree with your thoughts. Collab would be the ultimate Dream Team! I have been LOVING the new Country Candle formulation and the two I have burned through (Cookies & Cream Cake and Sweet Peach) have both been 7-9 in scent strength and throw and scrumptious scents. I hope Kent gets the chance to try the new CC line.

Thank you, Kent -- this was so validating! So many candle influencers seemingly love this brand and are constantly talking about it and I just cannot get on board. For years I have avoided Kringle and Goose Creek for aesthetic reasons, and while Goose Creek has clearly made an effort to offer more decor-focused designs, it's just the same cheap-looking stuff from Kringle season after season. Plus, their sales are fewer and their discounts less steep than most comparable brands. A couple years ago I gave Kringle a try in earnest, ordering several candles, and at least one was practically unscented. For the price, that's unacceptable. If I want a candle with a throw of a 1 or a 2, I'll buy it from DW for half the price and it will at least be cute to look at! I now only buy from Kringle when their stuff goes 75 percent off after Christmas or if they're having some other rare big sale, and even then, I don't buy more than a couple candles. It's just not worth the gamble. Rant over!

My experience is limited but I’ve had hits and misses, like you said, as with any company. What I’ve found annoying about their website is it’s sometimes confusing to navigate and also their sales… these few are on sale for this much, this type is on sale at a different price, and these aren’t on sale at all. I really like a flat sale site wide. I haven’t gotten a “Reserve” line candle, but black opaque jars aren’t appealing to me. I like to see a glow through the jar. Plus the Reserve ones are really expensive! I do like the way their 100% soy candles burn and there are some I really like and would buy again.

I just dipped my toes into Kringle for the first time in the past month and I COMPLETELY agree with your assessments. The one thing I do appreciate is their daylight candles. I really like being able to dip my toe into a fragrance without committing to a big candle and they're very practical to me in the warm weather because a bug 3 wick can be too much on a hot summer day. The daylights are also great for travel. The pictures on candles have become VERY dated looking to me too. I did purchase one of their Reserve candles and those are headed in the right direction...hopefully they expand upon those and offer good sales as well. Thank you so much for your input, I greatly appreciate it!!

Thank you. Kringle's ambassador oversaturation should not go unnoticed. It's entirely too many of them and it's clear they truly only want Pcm, mrkongs, and queenofgeeks by how they always get previews and have lives.
Also I don't find their scents to be authentic often. It seems like theirs often a mistmatch with the labels, notes to what I am smelling. R you going to keep your code? If I do buy, I will use it.

OMG! Was so surprised to see this video and I'm so happy! Big Kringle fan here, mostly in reverence to the OG Yankee heritage, as you mentioned. The black jar special edition candles are really the best, if you can get your hands on any. I loved the candid review, and found it perfectly acceptable to balance the praise along with the negatives, all of which were well-documented. Herbal Tea is amazing, right? The website today is horrible looking - cheap, and feels outsourced. It used to be so much nicer. The flagship store in MA is well worth checking out if you are ever in the area. They seem to be handing out the ambassador codes an awful lot (except to me, because I don't have enough followers I guess). I'll use your code next time!

So glad I was able to do this video then! And yea, I think there's still something there with the Yankee Candle heritage that Kringle can tap into, but a fine line without ripping off OG YC directly. I wish they were more of a spiritual successor to YC instead of the many different directions they seem to be going. I feel like their brand would be poised to capture that awesome New England Americana feel, but somehow update it and make it slightly more higher-end. I think they were in that direction at inception but have strayed greatly.

Some of my Kringle Candles have a light scent and some are too strong. I was hearing on one of the lives that the vanilla-based fragrances tend to be light and they were working on it. As for the labels. I don't like that you can't see the flame through the non-wrap around candles and I turn them around. I don't know if they fixed this issue yet. Thanks for your review!😊

Yea, I think the combination of 100% soy, smaller production runs than comparable brands, and "made in the USA" is going to drive the costs up. We complain about things like "made in Vietnam" candles and "cheap paraffin" but the trade off is that we have to pay more for it!

Funny how we all smell scents differently. Donut Worry is one of my favorites. I'm on my 3rd large jar and have two more in backup. I burn it every morning at breakfast.
I personally like having all the scent notes listed. It has helped me to make more informed and satisfying choices. For instance, streight-up Vanilla is not one of my favorite scents, but I learned that it can temper some overly strong scents with beautiful results. Also, there are some oils that may bother some people with headaches, scratchy throat, or watery eyes. Knowing what the scent notes are may help these sensitive people make better choices.
Lastly, I love the artwork on all Kringle jars. In my home, they look stunning. I think by and large, they conjure up the aroma of the candle when burned.

I just went to his page, why is that guy always name dropping and trying to stir the pot? I've had sympathy for him in the past when these things have occurred, just sort of giving the benefit of the doubt kind of thing ... but I just went to his channel and on the community tab he talked about several people in the candle community, nothing terrible but basically unnecessarily dragging others names into drama, and also that he was no longer working with Goose Creek... Which he really didn't have to announce. Then he posted again saying how interesting it was that they sent Kent product the same week he ended the partnership. Lol! And although he did say Kent knows his fragrance I can't help but think it wasn't a passive aggressive jab with the spelling "tinadevilicious". Come on. The man is in his 50s? 60s?... Just why... I remember all the drama that happened way back when too. Goodness, that gets old quick. Notice how Kent never gets involved with others in the space! Wonder why! Lol. I wouldn't either.

For those who are curious to try something new, this brand’s Daylights or wax melts are a great way to sample new scents. You can often buy them on sale. The 100% soy wax is cleaner burning & better quality than most brands, in my experience. Kringle’s candles are priced fairly, are good quality, & are made in the USA. 🇺🇸

I only buy infrequently when there are good sales so never get any of the exciting (to me) fragrances. I am not bothered by their design but I feel the same confusion on their website. Maybe it’s just me but I want to filter to 3-wick 100% soy and don’t seem to be able to do that. So, eh for Kringle for me. No one can touch BBW for all the reasons others have said. Also the deal with the reserve line and naming a macaron candle macaroon. WTH?!?! How can no one have caught that??? Sloppy.

I don't doubt her experience at all, but yes, I tend to be more critical and less "brand-friendly" than others. Perhaps the other formats of Donut Worry perform better!

I think we definitely perceive scents differently but who knows.
I have spoke to a lot of normal people, that aren't ambassadors by any means that swear by donut worry. A lot of people told me it's a must but I haven't tried it so unsure on my side!
At any rate, I've had people say candles were like a 2 in throw that were a 10 for me.. it's insane our noses are that different or the quality control just sucks!
Also Bonnie is a fiend for gourmand so automatically she's gonna like it but she'll tell you all day long how much she hates the clean and floral scents. So there's that bias as well!

At Christmas time a lot of candle reviewers were gushing about The Kringle Christmas labels. Oh my. They looked like Thomas Kinkade paintings. There is no way I want that in my living room and absolutely NO WAY I'd give one as a gift. So tacky. Glad to know they don't soot though.

I have to disagree with you. I like the labels, especially the reserve line labels. My favorite labels are the Halloween reserve line labels. Also I like the specific scent notes they include. I find kringle to be much more on par with their descriptions than bath and body works.

Different strokes for different folks. Glad you enjoy them!

Thank you for the review. I would never purchase a Kringle candle. There is just far too much negative information out there about Kringle to take a chance.

Mrkongsmom needs help designing her candle label for Kringle. 😉 😜 😊

their marketing, especially the email and home page of their website, are clearly trying to emulate BBW with all the bright colors and wham bham all caps headlines. I've also never been a big fan of their signature vessels... the weird tall skinny jars. I feel like as the candle burns down, it's harder to light - you need a long lighter.
